I come the bearer of bad news. There will be a delay in the swap process. We are currently working on sorting the names and assignments, but are running into technical difficulties.

You should still receive an email soon, it just won't be "tonight" as in Saturday night.

I do sincerely apologize. I based my schedule on the ideal and did not schedule in enough "life" into my timeframe.  I should have learned by now that "life" happens.

Bear with us while we work out the technical problems that have popped up.

"Over the river, and through the woods to Grandmother's house we go...." But sometimes the going part can get long.

We've put together a small, inexpensive set of Thanksgiving themed activities to occupy your kidlets on that long car ride. This set includes 7 activities:

Pin the feathers on the Turkey: Attach colored clothespins to your turkey to give him tail feathers.

Dress the Pilgrims Felt Board: Two felt boards each with an attached person. Dress one as a pilgrim boy and one as a pilgrim girl.

Travel Bingo: As you're driving "over the river and through the woods", your older children can be spotting bingo items.

Thanksgiving Dinner Place Setting: This felt based activity allows your child to "set the table" for thanksgiving dinner. Includes place setting utensils and food.

Thanksgiving Activity Booklet: Your older kidlets can work out puzzles and mazes in this small booklet.

Lift the Flap Memory Game: Lift the flaps to reveal the picture underneath. Can you find all the matches?

This set is available for only $10 now until Friday, November 11th. Thanksgiving sets will be shipped out by November 16th.

The grand opening giveaway was a lot of fun!

The grand prize winner is Ginger G. She will receive a Preschool Busy Bag Set.

Just in time for the busy Holiday season, we are offering a Christmas box full of Christmas activities to help keep your Kidlet occupied while you wrap presents, bake cookies, clean the house for company, pack clothes to go on that road trip, and of course let us not forget the driving part of the trip.

The Christmas Busy Box will provide your child with activities that promote learning while you are able to accomplish tasks on that long list. The activities will also help keep your Kidlet off Santa’s naughty list when they are most full of energy and anxiety. Ha ha.

Included in the Christmas Busy Box are the following activities:

Foam Tree Decorating Game: Your Kidlet will roll a colored dice to determine which color pom pom to put on their tree for decoration.

Button Felt Christmas Tree: With this activity your Kidlet can practice buttoning and unbuttoning the ornaments onto the tree while also matching colors.

Pipe Cleaner Threading: Thread jingle bells and beads onto a pipe cleaner.

Snowflake Sorting: Your Kidlet can sort snowflakes by size (big/little) and color (blue/white)

Build a Felt Snowman: This activity comes will all of the pieces to build a felt snowman without having to brave freezing temperatures.

Nesting Cylinders: Your Kidlet will open two different cylinders to discover what is hidden inside.

Lacing Hat and Stocking: Practice lacing on a stocking and a hat.

Popsicle Puzzle: Santa Clause, Penguin and a Snowman puzzle will help keep your Kidlet occupied.

Matching/Memory: Match various Christmas themed cards or play a game of memory.

Clothespin Rudolph: Your Kidlet can decide how many clothespin antlers to clip on Rudolph by rolling a dice.

The Christmas box is no longer available.

The clocks strikes midnight and the guests scurry home as the party high gives way to weariness. They will fall into their beds and wake the next morning knowing they had the time of thier lives, but unsure of the actual events. It all seems a blur of laughter in their foggy minds.

I'll try to record the events before I too fall into the bed of oblivion.

Our grand opening started Tuesday with the swap more than filling up in just a few hours. We had to reign in help from a previous coordinator who has proven herself way more than competent. Emails should go out tomorrow to all the participants and fill-ins.

The grand opening of our busy bag store was a smashing success with way more orders than I expected. I am floored.

And the giveaway... the five lucky winners will be announced in the morning when the world is awake.
